The
SweetRoll is
Revelate Designs stand alone
bikepacking handlebar bag featuring dual sided roll down closures so that you do not have to empty the entire bag once you get to a food stop or camp. The
Manta Flap allows you to carry non-weather sensitive gear such as a foot print or an additional small dry bag. The bag itself is
100% waterproof for those trips in less than ideal weather. Two rows of Daisy chain webbing allow you to strap on additional small gear in the configuration that best suits your bike and the conditions you will be riding in.
To keep it's shape and to aid while packing and unpacking,
Revelate Designs added fiberglass cross bars to the
SweetRoll for lightweight, durable rigidity.
Foam block spacers keep the
SweetRoll from contacting your bike frame.
Bikepacking with a drop bar? The
SweetRoll has you covered, you will just want to make sure that you have plenty of room for the shift levers to swing,
Revelate Designs has a full guide to fitting the
SweetRoll on your drop bar
bikepacking rig here. The SweetRoll can also be used with a Jones Loop Bar with an additional buckle kit that is sold separately. A guide to mounting the
SweetRoll to your Loop bars can be found
here.
- Four-point, Jones Loop Bar mounting (with separate kit)
- Manta Flap
- Fiberglass cross stiffener
- Foam spacer block at head tube/crown attachment (bag does not make contact the bike)
So how big is the medium SweetRoll? The medium measures 7" in diameter and has a max length of 22" giving it a capacity of around 850 cu in. For the best possible handling while out on the trail it is always best to try and place the least amount of gear weight as possible on your handlebars. Bulky-light things like lightweight down jackets or shelters are great for the
SweetRoll, heavy things such as fuel canisters are best for your framebag or other low mounted locations.
