The
Race Face Turbine Dropper Post uses a patented hybrid design that uses both mechanical and hydraulic locking technologies that allows your weight to be supported by a mechanical lock so that you don't get saddle height "creep" that can happen with pure hydraulic systems. This also means the
Turbine Dropper Post needs less service because there is less stress placed on the hydraulic system. Unlike true mechanical droppers that offer little if any return speed adjustment, the Turbine Dropper Post has a low-pressure air cartridge to fine tune the post to your riding style.
Unlike a lot of the dropper posts on the market,
Race Face has tested the
Turbine Dropper Post to fully function in below freezing temperatures, making it an excellent choice for fat bikes and winter warriors. In extreme temperature changes, like going from a warm car or home to frigid January singletrack may require the
Turbine Dropper Post to be reset, which can be done without tools for optimal performance.
Turbine Dropper Posts use Race Face''s race and trail proven Hunter Head 2-piece clamp that is compatible with standard and oversized 7x9mm carbon rails.
Race Face does not include the required remote with the
Turbine Dropper Post and offers 2 versions. The
Race Face Turbine Universal Remote can be used on the left or right side and can be used with or without shifters.
Race Face also offers a 1x for the left side only that mounts where a front shifter would typically go. For 1x style remotes,
Race Face offers
Aeffect or
Turbine level remotes.
