Whether you choose alloy or carbon crank arms,
Race Face cranks feature best in class weight while being strong enough to ride every day. Part of what makes
Race Face cranks so light is their 3-piece modular design that uses a light but stiff oversized alloy 30mm spindle. Race Face calls this system
Cinch, and the
Cinch system allows
Race Face to offer spindles to work with a wide variety of frames and drivetrain types.
Race Face now takes the
Cinch system a step further by adding the ultimate training tool to your cranks,
Power Measurement. The
Race Face Cinch Power Spindle only adds
65g to the standard
134mm Cinch Spindle, making it one of the lightest ways to measure power on your bike.
Like everything else
Race Face makes, the
Cinch Power Spindle is designed for offroad. By tucking the power unit within the bottom bracket shell of the frame,
Race Face's Cinch Power Unit is protected from anything the trail can throw at it.
To make setting up the
Cinch Power Spindle easy
Race Face offers iOS and Android compatibility through apps that are available in their prospective app stores. For compatibility with a wide range of cycling computers and GPS head units, the
Race Face Cinch Power Spindle features dual channel communications via BLE (Blue Tooth Low Energy) or ANT Plus.
Even though the power unit inside the
Cinch Spindle is tiny,
Race Face didn''t sacrifice battery life. The battery in the
Cinch Power Spindle is rated for over 400h and once that''s up, the battery can be recharged with the included USB cable.
Currently the
Race Face Power Spindle is available in a 134mm length that works with traditional 68/73mm bottom bracket shells and is compatible with BSA (threaded), BB92 and PF30 bottom brackets.
