asked by: a guest I own a 2002 700 jeckle and I want to replace the head shock with normal forks. What do I have to do. I need pointing in the right direction with what is involved what parts are needed and which forks to use. Cheers John
A.
anwered by: canteau If the Cannondale Jekyl was originally equipped with a HeadShok and an SI headset, these cups should work and will allow you to run a 1-1/8" threadless headset and fork.
The Rock Shox Silver TK forks have been popular and come with rim and disc mounts.

asked by: a guest I have a Super V 700 cannondale with a head shok and wanting to put a rock shok forks on what reducers will I need.thank you
A.
anwered by: isteinhoff You would need these reducers, and then a traditional External Cup 1-1/8 Headset. So long as the fork you are putting on there has a Straight Steerer Tube (Likely on a 26in V 700), you'd be all good.
For headsets you can use, try the following in the description for a traditional External Headset: EC34/28.6 - EC34/30

asked by: a guest I have a MOTO 2 Carbon Cannondale with a 65mm wide dust top cap on top of the top bearing. the hole through the top cap is for the old fork which was a straight 1.5" but my new tapered fork is 1.125" (1-1/8"). is this supposed to be placed inside the dust cap by placing it through the top? I don't understand how this thing works. Please clarify.
A.
anwered by: canteau The Problem Solvers Head Shok Reducer reduces the Cannondale SI cups down to work with a EC34 1-1/8" headset and will not work with a tapered fork because the lower Cannondale Cup is technically 1-9/16" although it is sometimes referred to as 1.5"

asked by: a guest I have a Cannondale c400 frame. The headtube measures 1.9" Inside diameter top and bot
A.
anwered by: canteau The Problem Solvers HeadShok reducer requires the stock HeadShok SI headset cups to be installed in order for them to fit. If you no longer have the headset cups, you will need to source a used set, because they are no longer produced.

asked by: a guest Thus this item will work on my Cannondale Trigger?
A.
anwered by: canteau The Problem Solvers kit is not designed to work with modern Cannondale frames frame that use direct fit bearings. Depending on the exact frame dimension Cannondale does make a direct fit headset for modern HeadSshok frames to run an 1-1/8" fork.
The Cannondale part number is KP058 and is available by searching for part number 333222409066 in our search box.

asked by: a guest My Delta V has a wider bottom cup for the old Delta V headshok. Is there a reducer?
A.
anwered by: canteau If the bottom cup is wider than the Cannondale 1.5" you are most likely not going to find a non-custom reducer to work with your frame.

asked by: a guest Cannondale frame lefty 1.5 head tube and I want to use a 1 1/8 straight fork steer ?

asked by: a guest do the head set reducers touch inside the frame ?
A.
anwered by: canteau They do not, they install into the existing headset cups. If the bearing on your frame install directly into the headtube this reducer will not fit your frame. Complete installation instructions can be found here:
asked by: a guest Would this work with ultra fatty head shok intergrated headset?
A.
anwered by: mlewis The Headshok has a 1.5" steertube, this reducer is to use a standard 1-1/8" steertube fork in a Cannondale frame with oversized headtube.

asked by: a guest How do you tell if the 97 caffeine f3 has the alum cups pressed in or if its just bearings
A.
anwered by: mlewis This should work since earlier models had the bearing cups, but you should be able to tell once you remove the headset and can see whether the headtube has pressed in bearings or not.

asked by: a guest Will this fit a Caffeine F1 framr currently running a Lefty Speed?
A.
anwered by: canteau It should, provided that the frame has aluminum cups pressed into the headtube that the bearings ride on. If it is the version of the Caffeine frame that has the bearings directly pressed into the frame then it will not.
Frames with the direct press-in bearings use a standard 1.5 headset.

I ordered this for a friend to replace his no longer serviceable Headshok. The adapter still uses the original Headshok cups, but the bearings come out very easily with no special tools, then these slip in allowing a conventional 1-1/8" headset to be pressed in. At first I was concerned with so many joints and the added height, but he's had nary a whimper in weeks of hard riding.
These solved my problem with no problems. Went from an unusable Mc60 Headshok to a set of RockShox Tora's with an FSA Fat Pig headset and everything fits perfectly, works perfectly and has give me new confidence in my riding.
