The original Planet Bike Superflash taillight set the standard for brightness when it was introduced, using 1/2 watt Blaze main LED along with 2 additional LEDs for added brightness to make sure you'd be seen by cars when riding at night. The Planet Bike Superflash Turbo bumps up the visability by upgrading to a 1 watt main LED from the 1/2 watt offered on the original.
The added power power of the 1 watt light gives you a larger flash pattern, which has also be updated.

This thing is bright as hell and has a crazy blink pattern that could grab the attention of even the most inattentive driver.
As an added bonus, it will encourage riding buddies to pull more because they can't stand riding behind you!

This is a great light! One night I had this gentleman see me from 2 miles away and thought that I was a car in trouble. When he caught up to me he was so impressed by the light that the fact I ride a three wheeled recumbent trike never entered the conversation!

Brighter than the original SF, which I also consider great. The turbo's flash sequence is different, more random than the the original unit's steady blink, blink, BLINK. I couldn't pick out the pattern on the turbo, it seems completely random, sometimes with slightly longer periods between the large LED's blink's than the original SF has. I haven't decided if I like this but I'm sure it will be seen.
Probably the best taillight for the price.
