Looking for info regarding the diameter of the tubing on the Ecorack. Can you help?

Hi,
Good question! I'm unable to find any info about that myself, and we don't stock them in the store or I'd go measure one, although when we've sold them before they looked comparable to the size of most economy racks by Planet Bike, Topeak, Axiom, etc... but felt a little lighter, I think due to the hollow tubes.
Stick to the 55lb weight limit and it should be fine. This rack is meant more for commuter/hybrid duty than for dedicated touring.

will this work with 700c wheels?.
A.
anwered by: canteau
It should, depending on the rack mounting points on your frame there may be clearance issues with 29er tires and some higher volume 700c tires.

I don't have upper rack mounts. Where's the best place to put mounting brackets?
A.
anwered by: bhardy
It depends on the size and model of the bike. On very small mounts a seatpost clamp with integrated rack mounts can work well. If the bike is a larger size, c-clamps on the seat-tubes will work as well. Hope that helps.

A GuestI found the upper mounts to be difficult to figure out also even though mounts are provided. Nothing in the instructions showing how.

A GuestMy hybrid ladies bike came with the necessary holes for easy rack mounting while Bill's did not have holes at the seat. The clamps worked just fine on his once we figured out the correct position for them. These racks are exactly what we wanted and I'm so happy to have found them and Tree Fort.

zack4garNever says that if fits all bikes, I had to drill holes in my new bike to put this on. So I had to make it work, it would cost me about half the price to mail back, so no I would not recommend it, because it does not fit all bikes.

A GuestNot made for my bike, had to make the lower mount holes on my bike bigger, and there are no instructions how to mount the upper rack if your bike doesn't have mounts? Although brackets are provided.. Difficult to figure out, I still don't know how I'm going to make it work :/
