The TNS-1 is used to drive a star nut into an aluminum or steel steerer tube during installation. Alignment is made easier due to the hefty construction and the TNS-1 makes light work of any star nut install. For a more precise driving experience we would suggest the TNS-4 which includes a built in slide hammer.
- Used to install star fangled nuts into steer tubes on threadless headset systems
- Star fangled nut threads onto tool and then tapped into steer tube with hammer
- Inserts Star fangled nuts to recommended 15mm depth

A GuestIt's a star nut setter. It's a lot easier to install a star nut with one of these than by threading a bolt into the star nut and hammering at the bolt head until the nut goes into the fork steerer, and the whole process doesn't chew up the steerer tube interior as much with this thing. So yeah, 5 stars for doing its job well, and when I need this thing I'm happy to have it. It's a one-trick pony kind of tool, but you knew that already.

A GuestSet the star nut quickly and easily. The correct depth was much easier than trying to bang the star nut on with a bolt. Piece of cake.
