lverhagenIt's a basic tool, but it serves its purpose well for removing track nuts, pedals, bottle caps, and (I suppose) tires. The fit and finish are top notch and the leverage is plenty for loosening all but the most frozen nuts and pedals out there. Of course, it doesn't do a bad job of tightening either.

bulldog1935If you've got a single and, especially, an internal planetary-gear hub (Nexus), you need this wrench. I'm glad they made it lighter because it's still quite heavy. It's also a substantial tool, and I have no doubt I'll be able to break the 300 in-lb. torque on the Nexus axle nuts if I need to fix a flat on the road. If you have a Nexus, don't forget some fine pliers, also, so you can remove and re-install the shifter cable. Quality tool, packs easy enough in the side pocket of a small trunk bag, but probably too big for your Brooks Challenge bag.
