asked by: a guest What is the difference between this deluxe stand and the professional model by Park Tool?
anwered by: awilson This version is similar to repair stands you might find being used in your LBS (we have them in our shop). The Pro version features a clamp that takes up less space and help to prevent over clamping damage to your frame.

This thing is rock solid.
I've got it lag bolted to a 6x6 post in my basement and it'll hold a bike perfectly sturdy at any angle. Coming from years of using a crappy Spin doctor stand that liked to tip over if you looked at it funny, this thing makes a world of difference. The clamp is solid and the angle adjust is great. I really don't know how I lived without a solid repair stand for so long.
If you have something solid to bolt this to where you'll be able to access both sides of the bike, do yourself a favor and pick one of these bad boys up. You won't regret it.

If you are looking to set up a permanent work station this will do the trick. Easy to install and extremely stong. I have never had any problems with this stand not holding anything steady regardless of weight or how agressively I work on my bikes.
