asked by: a guest Any idea why I should have my fourth flat tire on a brand new bike with less than 300 miles? Always the back tire. My friends at Dicks sporting goods can't seem to find the leak. We even tried a new tube yesterday. Did six miles today and had another flat. Very frustrating.
anwered by: canteau Without seeing the bike it would be hard to give advice, however simply changing an inner tube without removing or fixing what was causing the flat, will well result in more flats. I would suggest taking the bike to a bike shop and not a sporting goods store like Dicks and have an experienced mechanic help you with your service issues.
If you'd like to service it yourself Park Tool has a great repair guide to help you out here: https://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-help/tire-and-tube-removal-and-installation

Bought this tire out of curiosity. I usually have bad luck with tires with low prices like this, but this one was actually a great buy. Very durable, smooth ride, and great traction. I had it on my fixed gear bike, and it was able to withstand my demanding style of riding through the city. Only dislike was that I got a leak flat from a simple staple, but I don't think any tire is completely immune to road debris.
