Optis Tubeless Tire Insert - 29" x 28-40mm Insert w/ Standard Presta Valve

Odyssey Optis Tubeless Tire Insert is a lightweight, highly tunable tubeless tire insert system designed to split tire grip from impact support by creating a true two-chamber setup. In a compatible 29er tubeless wheel, the main tire chamber can be run at lower pressure for traction and compliance, while the OPTIS chamber is inflated higher to stabilize the casing, support cornering loads, and help protect the rim on hard hits.

Why a two-chamber insert changes the setup

1. Dual-pressure tuning (two-chamber design) - Allows separate adjustment of ride feel and support: lower tire pressure for grip, with a higher-pressure insert chamber to keep the tire stable under load
2. Bead-hugging “cinch” fit - Inflates against the rim and tire bead to create a bead-lock effect that helps prevent burping and improves stability when pushing lower pressures
3. Lightweight protection - Adds less than 90g per wheel while providing impact protection aimed at reducing rim damage compared to running tubeless alone
4. Efficiency-focused alternative to foam - Designed to reduce rolling resistance on rough surfaces by avoiding the hysteresis losses commonly associated with foam inserts
5. Wheel and tire compatibility details - Fits rims with 28–40mm internal width and supports up to 50 psi max inflation (insert chamber), for 29" tubeless applications
