The Tree Fort Bikes Take: These jackets are great in every way. Super economical, but extremely effective. We have used them in downpours and even on motorcycle trips at 60 MPH and they keep you way dry. This rain jacket is strongly suggested!

hsr_930I got caught in a mid-July thunderstorm while riding my bicycle. I stopped and donned the rain jacket just as the first drops were falling. I took it back off after just 2 miles as I was sweating to death in it and was more comfortable with a wet and breathable biking shirt than no air movement at all on my body.

A GuestLightweight and packs well. The hood tie is a little uncomfortable when wearing with a bike helmet. Definitely worth the money. I'm very pleased.

A GuestMy wife bought me a set of O2 rain gear for my birthday. The waterproof lining started shedding within a month of occasional use. Both the jacket and pants now leave a trail of white plastic flakes, causing a mess in the house as well as clothing. (Don't wear this to work unless you've got a vacuum cleaner handy.) Also, both the jacket and pants tear very easily. I've had $5 disposable rain parkas last longer than this.

A GuestI bought the matching pants and reviewed them also. I will say the same thing here. This is a great lightweight jacket that keeps the warm in and the wind and rain out. However, it is fragile and tears easily. I ruined my first jacket by riding my bike too quickly past some blackberry bushes. However, it met all my other needs and I bought a new one. You just need to be careful with these. Also, the sizes seem to run rather large. My first pair was a medium and was way too big. Size small worked better for me, and still had plenty of room for a warm jacket/layer underneath.

SistoGood product for the money. Jacket is cut fairly lose. I'm a 42 chest size and large is a loose fit on me. I do not consider it packable though, since it's takes up quite a bit of room in my bike bag. Not thrilled with the cottony quilty texture either.
