The Nite Rider Pro battery pack is listed by NiteRider as being compatible with all Pro lighting systems. Depending on which version of the Nite Rider Pro 1400 you have, it might have not included the battery tray which is required for this battery pack and is not included. We no longer carry the Nite Rider battery tray but it is directly available Nite Rider here:

This is a high quality spare or replacement battery. My original 8 cell still maintains a long running time with zero problems, but now I don't get worried that the battery will die before I get home on longer late night rides.
