The light makes a nice even glow that is useful for being seen or for lighting up the inside of a bag to find something, but it seems excessively hard to turn on. There is a sweet spot that is a bit easier if you squeeze on it perfectly but even then it takes enough force to operate the switch that a kid would have a really hard time turning it on. It also seems kind of chunky and heavy, it's too much to put on something like a zipper pull. It's not a bad light but there are better options.
