The Niner Carbon Rigid Fork could very well be the most advanced rigid mountain bike fork on the planet. Purpose-built from the ground up, Niner utilized carbon in ways no other fork manufacture has done before. From the tip of the dropout to the top of the steerer tube and everywhere in between, the Niner Carbon Rigid Fork takes full advantage of the damping characteristics of carbon. Unlike three-piece bonded forks, which can have stress risers in transitions between dissimilar materials, the full carbon design of the Niner fork is both lighter and stronger by eliminating bonded sections all together. In addition to the full carbon complement, the outside shape of the fork was designed to disperse impact energy throughout the entire structure, damping trail vibrations before they get to your hands without compromising steering precision. From tip to tail, the Niner Carbon Rigid fork was designed for betterperformance. We didn't just want to offer another carbon component, we wanted to utilize carbon the way it was intended to be: stiff, light, strong, and forgiving, all rolled into a single package.
Post mounted brake mounts for lighter overall set-up. Forward facing dropouts for safety and easier wheel removal.

binausicIncredibly light and stiff. In my opinion a great value for the amount of tech and time Niner put into this fork. If you are a fan of rigid 29er forks, this is definitely the fork you want!

joe...@gm...l.comAwesome fork, super lightweight, fork blades have a intelligent design, no pressed crown slippage to worry about since it is all one piece.
The carbon helps take the light chatter out of most trails...on the other hand, the fact that it is so rigid also results in too much feedback on descents. Tire pressure fixed that problem.
For smooth singletrack, climbing and picking your way thru rockgardens, beats a Steel Fork any day of the week!

jmorgan29erExtremely light and eats up the rocks and roots with a 2.3 tire that is tubeless. Very responsive in the handling. The looks alone of this fork speaks for the craftsmanship. If you are looking to go rigid this is the fork for it.

Joemckeen16Background: I am a Single Speed endurance rider who made the decision to go full-rigid. I was looking for a fork which was not only light, but also durable. I considered the "off" brands (ebay China carbon forks), but decided to go with a brand with a proven track record...and Niner fit the bill. Many of the carbon forks I looked at had rider weight limits...that concerned me. The Niner fork, however, has no rider weight limit.
The ride: You had better learn to pick lines, ride relaxed, let your body become the suspension, and get some comfy grips! With that said, I love this fork. I am not as fast downhill in "chatter/bumpy sections" compared to when I had a suspension fork, but over all I really like the ride. Going uphill is my forte, and this fork really allows you to hammer hills without any power loss from a compressing fork. I ride this fork in the Auburn, CA trails and it does just fine. I don't think I would want to ride it in super technical terrain with 2 ft plus drops...but for XC style riding this fork rocks!
Just did a 2.5 hour ride in Auburn...definitely felt it in my hands and arms, but it was blast!
Negatives: Not sure I would use this fork for my 8 hour races as I think the cumulative pounding on the hands/arms when fatigue you too much...but for 3 hours and less...hell yeah!

A GuestThis fork is amazing! It soaks up the small bumps like no other rigid fork that I've used and I tried many. It is the best $400 I've ever spent. But it. You won't regret it!

dwm...@gm...l.comI put this on my 29er Surly Karate Monkey and use it for Casual MTB and cyclocross racing. Swapping out the stock fork probably save me 2lbs or more. And the ride quality! Oh boy! So much smoother and my bike began to take lines much better! Completely changed the ride of the bike. I would also add the mud clearance is excellent.
I only wish I could have gotten it in Kermit green... Tree fort bikes had the best price so I settled for a clear cote carbon finish. It was not worth the extra money (close to 100$ more if I remember) to get my favorite color elsewhere.

coopbingI had this fork on my bike before I ordered it again from Tree Fort Bikes, I just wanted to get it in a matching color to my frame. These guys are super tight with Niner so they always get you the color you need quicker than any other dealer. Shipped crazy fast and good packaging. I also bought my Niner Carbon Flat Bars from these guys and they are rad and wide, they are rad-wide.

papadatosI am already planning a new bike around this fork technology. I really think that mountain biking is going in better directions with the niner carbon fork. Suspension has it's merrits, but you will never have a true understanding of how a rigid ride is supposed to feel until you try this one for yourself. And the staff of Tree Fort Bikes couldn't have been more gracious in helping me, a novice rider, in selecting it and taking time to talk to me about it.
Take your time, do the research for yourself, I promise you that you will be impressed by this fork. Make sure you come back to tree fort bikes, their price match guarantee is unbeatable. And when your bike is complete you will have a head turning ride that will be the envy of the local riders. Out of some serious hardcore riders, friends, who all ride full suspension...completely envy my fork. I just can't stress how satisfied I am with this fork, and with TreeFortBikes.

LazerjelloStronger than it looks, I thought the box was empty when I got it. I way 220 and have taken it off 2 foot drop offs, I have eaten it twice, (not the forks fault, I'm clumsy), no problems. My brakes have actually gotten quieter too. I am not sure why on that one. It has a surprising amount of compliance, yet very stiff. Sometimes twherein drop outs are frustrating, but I am impatient
