Nantucket Tremont Rear Cargo Basket

PRO: My wife was looking for a spacious basket to hold her lock and 1-2 loose bags during commuting and short city jaunts. She didn't want the distraction - or handling concerns - associated with stacking stuff in a front basket. And she didn't just want metallic baskets. So this was the best (and most attractive) non-pannier solution we could find. It's a sturdy, well-made basket and fit her rear rack just fine. I think it will work out great. CON: the (2) Velcro fastening straps were too short to attach to a standard aluminum rear rack, so I had to use 3 big zip-ties instead. Problem solved (and the basket is probably more secure now too). But for a $75 product, the manufacturer should either supply longer straps or include zip-ties...
