If you're looking for a tire that tears it up in off road applications, look no further than the
Michelin Mud 2 cyclocross tire. The flagship of Michelin''s cross line for several years now, the Mud 2 features a tread that is a nice combination of knob and efficiency so you won''t feel dragged down on pavement or dirt roads. Plus, with a widely spaced knob pattern, this tire sheds off mud just like your siberian husky sheds fur in late spring. It would be disgusting if it weren''t so awesome.
- Silicium-compound tread: low rolling resistance, mud shedding
- State of the art racing tire casing
- Tread refined to balance demands of traction and efficiency
Weighs in at 340 grams.
Tree Fort Bikes Take: These tires are great for wet, muddy conditions but maybe you''re looking for a little more rolling speed? Try the Michelin Cyclocross Mud in the Front and the Cyclocross Jet in the back.

wirernutEverything is pretty decent about this tire. I use it in dry conditions as a rear tire. It grips really well. It says 700x30 but it is wider than my Specialized Huffalize which are 700x32. It rolls fast and is fairly puncture resistant concidering they've been mounted for the better part of a month and haven't flatted. A great all around tire.

bbrutschI bought this tire after have trouble making tubeless work with a kenda kwick and maxxis raze. The mud's sealed up with just a floor pump and have never lost the bead.
Michelin has done something pretty nifty with this tires in that they grip MUCH better than either of the other two tires and really don't feel to be rolling any slower than them. I use these both for racing and using my cross bike as a mountain bike and they excel at both. (One tip, if your local trails are rocky air up a little to avoid cuts, they happen)
For my use they aren't just a mud tire but are really the best all around cross tire I've found.

kbo...@ho...l.comPut Michelin Cyclocross Mud on with a tubeless set up using the Stan's rim strip on the front of my cyclocross bike with the Kenda Small Block 8 on the back...Great combo for greasy and peanut buttery mud mixed with grass.

cavalinioI have done two races so far with these tires primarily on wet grass and some mud. At first I was concerned about how thin they are (30c), but than I was surprised with how well they work. I have a lot of grip and was passing when others were slipping. I run 35-40psi.

rob...@ya...o.comGreat all around CX tire.
Corners well on grass and ISA good solution for tubeless conversions.
Works great on Stan's rims.

the_andy_specialIt took a city street with an ice base, 2" of fresh snow, 5" drifts, and a 25mph velocity to convince me that these tires are amazing. They handle well in loose soil and mud in addition to being rather fast on solid ground (and pavement).
Though i don't know the longevity of these beasts I'm pretty stoked on their performance in mixed conditions riding over 20 miles per day in the last month.

A GuestMud 2s hook up great on dry to tacky surfaces. I found that they tended to pack up a bit in heavy mud, which was a disappointment, but they cleared out in a reasonable timeframe, to bring me back the traction I needed.

A GuestI had my first race with these and coming out of the mud pits they just stuck, even on steep inclines. Totally loving them!
