The Maxxis Ravager is built for gravel riders who don't want their tires holding them back when the road gets rough. Its aggressive tread provides more traction than a typical fast rolling gravel tire, making it a great choice for loose gravel, chunky surfaces, mud, and rough backroads where conditions can change quickly.
The Ravager uses raised center knobs that provide dependable traction for climbing and braking without completely giving up rolling speed. Large, widely spaced side knobs dig into loose terrain and provide extra grip when cornering, giving the Ravager a planted feel when the surface gets unpredictable. Maxxis specifically recommends it for deep and loose gravel and recommends using it on both the front and rear.
This version combines a lightweight 120 TPI casing with Maxxis EXO sidewall protection. The higher thread count helps the casing conform to the terrain for a more comfortable, responsive ride, while EXO adds cut and abrasion resistance without making the tire excessively stiff. The Dual compound rubber balances rolling efficiency with the traction and durability needed for aggressive gravel riding.
Tubeless Ready construction allows you to run lower pressures for better traction and control while reducing the likelihood of flats from pinch flats and punctures. Just pair it with tubeless compatible rims and sealant.

Why We Like It The Ravager makes sense when your idea of a gravel ride includes more than perfectly groomed dirt roads. It's more aggressive than an all purpose gravel tire, but the center tread still rolls reasonably well when you have to spend some time on pavement. If your local gravel gets loose, chunky, or muddy, the Ravager gives you the extra traction and confidence that a faster, smoother gravel tire can't match.
