Maxxis Assegai Tire (29 x 2.6) is a high-traction MTB tire built for aggressive trail, enduro, and downhill riding in mixed conditions. Its tread sits between the Minion DHR II and Shorty in knob height, blending strong braking and cornering bite with more controllable speed on hardpack. Ramped center knobs help keep rolling resistance in check, while a transition knob between center and side tread delivers a smoother, more predictable lean as the bike is pushed into corners—especially on slippery roots and rocks.
