Magura Gustav Elite Disc Brake and Lever - Higo Closer delivers much of the heavy-duty control and heat management associated with the Gustav Pro in a more accessible build, making it a strong choice for enduro, gravity, e-MTB, and high-load “SUV” bikes. With an oversized forged 4‑piston caliper, enlarged piston sizing, and extra-large pad volume, it’s designed to hold a consistent bite point and modulation on long descents where smaller brakes can fade or feel inconsistent.

Built to pair with Magura Gustav Pro MDR-S rotors in 2.5 mm or 2.0 mm thickness (rotors sold separately), the Gustav Elite focuses on repeatable lever feel under heat, quieter/steadier braking through bigger pad support, and simplified setup via EASY LINK hose-to-master connection.

1. Oversized one-piece forged 4-piston caliper - Improves heat stability and consistency for sustained braking on steep, high-speed descents
2. Enlarged piston sizing (12 mm master / 19 mm caliper) - Lowers overall system pressure to reduce hose expansion losses for a more defined pressure point and stronger modulation
3. MDP 13 “Black” pads - Extra-large pad platform with 176% more pad wear volume vs. MT7 with 8.X pads for longer service intervals and stable braking characteristics
4. Rotor-thickness optimized design - Intended for use with MDR-S 2.5 mm or 2.0 mm rotors without needing a refill when switching between those rotor thicknesses (rotors sold separately)
