I got this light at least five years ago originally to commute but started taking it trail riding soon after and it is still going strong. As many others have said, the best set up is a bar mounted light and a helmet mounted light not either or. This light is the absolute best helmet mounted light out there for the road or trail. The small size, light weight, ease of mounting, fantastic light pattern all make this the best light out there. One area you may have questions about are the lumens. At 600, the main lamp has been surpassed by other lights, but it is my experience that 600 is more than enough and I do not typically use the brightest light settings on either this or my bar mounted light. This extends the time between battery charges as well. The two Amber side facing lights are a very nice and unique feature for road cycling. They complete the “360” showing light from every angle instead of only front and back. I can’t say enough about this piece of gear. I would immediately replace it if it was lost. I would recommend this to everyone looking to extend the day or to help be seen on the road. I recommend also getting a bar mounted light. If you only get one, get this one.
