This chain quieted down my SRAM Red equipped Specialized Roubaix. I had read negative reviews about how noisy this 2009 bike's drivetrain was, when equipped with their stock chain. After putting this chain on, it was whisper quiet. Their MissingLink connector can be installed without tools, but you'd need a chain tool to detach any unnecessary links. I got a second one. The gold looks great. If you get one, make sure to degrease the sticky preservative stuff KMC puts on the chain and relube it, or you may get chain suck.

Chain looks great, ramps up fast, shifts great, quiet, and last a very long time. this is my second one and I just changed it because it had been so long. The old one was still fine after over 6000 miles.
I've run KMC chains on my singlespeeds for years in all kinds of weather and they've been great. So when it came time for a new road chain, I figured I'd try it there. So far, so great!!! Extremely quiet, easy to install, and remove for cleaning.

I rode this chain for 4 months before two different local bike shops told me it was worn and in need of replacement. My previous "low end" KMC chain lasted 2 years.
I am really dissappointed with the durability of the X10SL.
