asked by: a guest Will this work with Shimano 10-speed Dynasis Mountain bike components?
A.
anwered by: jrichard KMC claims that it will, however Shimano disagrees. Shimano has designed the Dyna-Sys system to work with their direction specific chain and the best performance has been observed when using a Dyna-Sys specific chain.

This chain is great. It works with ALL 10 speed systems (I have two bikes with it-one shimano and one campagnolo). It's quiet, shifts perfectly, and it's cheap. I've broken road bike chains before, but not this one. Definitely recommended over any other chain, unless you feel like spending a ridiculous amount of money for a small weight savings.

I switched to KMC chains on all my bikes a few years ago. Never an issue with shifting on Sram or Shimano drivetrains. And I've saved quite a bit of money over name brand chains.

We using this chain on our 10-speed cassette Santana tandem. We've tried other chains on this tandem, but the others kept braking. We've found that if we clean the chain now and then and keep it well-lubed with Tri-flow, it will last several thousand miles. Even though we're not a large team, since we live in Pittsburgh we ride nothing but hills, shift constantly and ride through the cold rain and snow of winter, but the chain handles it all. This is a great chain at a great price!

I have been using the DX 10SC for 4 years. I install a new one every spring and usually ride 5-6,000 miles per year. The chain is nice and narrow, shifts flawlessly, is quiet and is by far the easiest to install and remove to clean.
I don't think they stretch very much, as I have never seen any degradation in shifting capability. But for this price I just replace them every year, so there is no need to check for stretch.
Summed up: Best chain at the best price...what's not to like!
Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Excellent chain, and I switched to this after converting my build to a Rohloff hub. Don't need anything fancy to shift anymore, I just have a 1x1 setup using a Wolf Tooth chainring and a standard Rohloff cog. Paired this up with Rock and Roll Gold lube and it requires so much less maintenance than my old setup using SRAM PC1091 chains. Those would stretch nearly out of spec by ~1200 miles, and I have close to 1000 miles on one of these and still like new. Well worth the money, who cares about a few grams with those results. This chain is also silent while the SRAM chain was noisy as hell. All around better for far less money.

I have been using the type of chain for the past couple of years. It lasts about 3 month (~300 miles). The missing link connector makes it fairly easy to clean the chain off the bike and repair the chain on the trail (it broke 2 times in 2 years).
