The K-Edge Braze-on chain catcher is the way many pro-tour riders ensure that their chain stays where it's supposed to in high pressure and high power situations. Hand machined from 6061 aluminum right here in the USA, this ultralight chain watcher interfaces directly with your current braze-on front derailleur for an easy installation with great results. It''ll protect your frame and your face by reducing chain drops and jumps; nothing wrong with that!

We all know that with a properly adjusted modern derailleur there is no reason you should ever drop a chain. But it's nice to know that if the impossible happens you'll just lose a little anodizing from your K-edge chain catcher rather than a chunk of carbon frame.
Easy to install - though in all honesty adjusting the front derailleur/chain catcher combination can be a bit awkward.
Summed up: Worth the additional 10 grams for even the most conscientious weight weenie.

I have put these on my wife's TT bike and my road bike. They are awesome. No more dropped chains! This is the one to get if you do not have a round tube below where your front derailleur attaches to the frame.
It's a nice little gadget, gets the job done so far but I haven't put it through its paces. It's well made, nice machining, etc but I think it could be a few bucks cheaper. I mean, it's basically a bottle opener right? That said, it looks good on the bike and it was perfect for my bike because I can't fit a 'dog tooth' type chainsaver (seat tube isn't round at bottom)
Summed up: Great company, great quality and great product

I'm very happy now that I have it on. I can freely downshift the front derailleur and don't have to be overly careful. Unfortunately the K-edge wasn't compatible with my Trek 5200 carbon frame and Shimano Ultegra drivetrain (2 front chain rings). The K-edge required the chainring to be further from the frame. I had to file it down in several places to get it positioned to where it wasn't contacting or stressing the carbon frame. It was a pain, but the performance is worth it.
