The difference between Jagwire Ripcord housing and standard cheap housing is night and day, especially if you have to run full housing all the way to the rear. It makes your brakes function so much smoother and crisper!
Summed up: Dramatically changes the feel of your brakes... for the better!
Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Works great! Long enough housing (at least for my frame) but needs more ferrules and longer sealing liner for frames with a lot of cable stops. Includes rubber cable covers.

I am so glad I bought these cables. Braking has greatly improved not to mention the cables look awesome. Installation went pretty smooth. I had plenty of parts and housing for my K2 hardtail with V-brakes. Make sure you get a good pair of cutters before you start, such as the Park CN-10's.
I've used Jagwire shifter housing/cable sets before so I was pretty sure what to expect from the brake set. I was not disappointed. I used it on my old Cannondale M500 build using Paul Components MotoBMX V-brakes. The front cable is only 18" long and it feels like a solid steel linkage! The back of course has more give but still better by far than anything else I have used. I agree that there could be more ferrules included in the pack, there were plenty for my runs but I could see needing more for different bikes. Great product.
