When Hudz named their cable donuts the HiTech Donutz, you can be pretty sure tongue was planted firmly in cheek. On the other hand, they do make a few serious-sounding claims as to why these are better than your average donut: the compound is just hard enough to protect your frame and hold to the cable to prevent migration, yet not so hard that it causes rattling noises. Migration is also dealt with by making the holes just ever so slightly big enough to easily thread cable to create a tighter, more secure fit. It all sounds plausible enough to appeal to the perfectionist in all of us, though we suspect the color availability holds at least as much draw here. And that's totally okay.
