Tech 4 V4 Disc Brake

Hope Tech 4 V4 Disc Brake is a high-power, 4-piston hydraulic disc brake designed for riders who want consistent control on long, steep descents and in repeated high-heat braking. The Tech 4 lever reduces internal friction with updated sealing and a roller-bearing pivot, allowing a lower spring rate for a lighter lever action that helps reduce hand fatigue while maintaining precise modulation.

The updated V4 caliper is a one-piece, CNC-machined 4-piston design built for stiffness, pad stability, and heat management. Hybrid stainless pistons with a phenolic insert help manage temperature while promoting smooth piston movement and lower-maintenance performance in demanding conditions.

• Reach + Bite Point Control (BPC) - Master cylinder adjustability lets the rider dial in lever position and bite point to match hand size, terrain, and personal preference

• V4 4-piston, one-piece caliper - CNC machined from solid 2014 T6 aircraft-spec aluminum to increase stiffness for efficient power transfer; increased pad surface area supports heat management and pad life
• Hybrid stainless/phenolic pistons - Stainless pistons with a phenolic insert help limit heat transfer during extreme use while supporting smooth, reliable piston movement
• Clean cockpit split clamp - Split clamp reduces bar clutter and is directly compatible with Shimano I-Spec shifters for a streamlined setup

Includes lever assembly, pre-bled black hose with stainless fittings, and (74mm) caliper.

Hose is pre-cut to standard lengths: 950mm front / 1500mm rear. If trimming or internal routing requires new fittings, use HT1035 (olive), HT1036 (insert), and HT1037/8 (copper washer).

Black plastic hose comes standard; braided stainless hose upgrade uses HT1050.

Fit note: the V4 caliper is not compatible with all direct mount 180mm forks due to piston size and mount-position variation; using the correct mount and a 200mm rotor is recommended in this application.
