These tires seemingly fix somethings that other road brands don't .in a fast rolling grippy lightweight tire they don't appear to be as fragile as others lending to a bit more confidence. They have decent wear and flat protection. The sidewalls are a bit more robust too. That being said yes you can still puncture them or tear a sidewall on a sharp rock. I have ridden them on rough pavement and some gravel stuff they held up where others I wouldn't have expected. So overall a very good everyday tire that will go fast comfortably.
