conceytedI bought this helmet strictly because of the design of the chin strap near the ear. Most helmets come with an adjustment that twists and contorts the straps in a way that does not allow them to sit flat on the face. This helmet has fixed position straps that leave a perfect amount of room under the ear and allow the straps to lie flat on the face. The elastic works well and the helmet itself is comfortable. The padding is made out of X-Static material which is anti-microbial and it REALLY soaks up the sweat. I rarely if ever find sweat dripping into my eyes thanks to these pads. Perhaps the helmet is a little pricey, but for me, having the chin straps lie flat on my face was something I was not willing to compromise on.
The fit of the helmet itself was a tiny bit loose, but perhaps I am just used to tightening the plastic adjustment of other helmets down a bit tight. Also, the chin strap adjustment by the buckle that allows you to loosen or tighten the strap has a great little rubber slider at the end that means you wont have any excess strap flying around in the wind. However, I had to tighten my strap down pretty tight so i ended up having a little bit extra strap between my adjustment point and the rubber slider in its longest position. No big deal, really.

henrygobelAt first when I put it on, it seemed not as cushy compared to what I was used to. I was also skeptical of the elastic strap instead of a plastic tightener, but it works really well. Within a few minutes, I forgot that it was even on my head. My first ride with it was about 2 hours long. After the ride, I almost got in the shower with it still on my head; I forgot it was there.
