shredbetty61I just finished riding 130 mile Kokopelli trail, both rugged jeep and singletrack sections with slickrock, sand and clay. these shoes rock! we had cold and rainy weather. the shoes were warm and thick, I could fit wool sox rather than just thin bike sox. No foot injuries from hitting foot on rocks or tripping. Onion Creek had 23 creek crossings; others had cold wet feet but not me. we had to get off the bike to carry it up many rocky climbs; the soles held me on the rock even at steep angles and when wet. when we were stopped by heavy wet clay, I could scrape it off the bottom and ride, others could not clip back in. when technical features, I could dab the ground here and there and not worry about unclipping.I was able to progress in skills because I didn't worry about being unable to clip out in time, I never fell.
