I have a 2008 Cervelo R3 with FSA SLK light carbon crank (53/39). I am looking for a more suitable crank to use for riding Texas Central texas hill country. This crank looks like it might do the trick, assuming they both use the same bottom bracket and the front detailleur can be adjusted to work with the smaller rings. Do you have any advise?

It will depend on the drivetrain your bike is currently using;
Shimano's current 11-speed front derailleurs will work with top gears as small as 46t, however, 10-speed groups are designed for a minimum of 50t top gear. If you have a Shimano 10-speed group aside from Tiagara 4700 you will need a Shimano CX70 front derailleur in addition to the crankset.
SRAM 10 and 11-speed groups should work but will require re-adjustment.
Ideally, the frame needs to be BB30 or PF30.
FSA does make bottom brackets for smaller BSA and BB86 frames however we have run into some installation issues on these frame types.
