This DT Swiss XD conversion kit is required when converting from a Shimano compatible DT Swiss 240s or 350 rear hubs to a SRAM XD driver for 11 or 12-speed drivetrains. This kit includes the proper 12mm thru axle endcap for 12x142, 12x148 or 12x197mm rear hubs. This freehub will work with DT Swiss star ratchet hubs only and will not work with DT Swiss 3-pawl hubs.

If your hub has the star ratchet system this XD driver should work, but Giant does use a DT-Swiss 3-pawl free hub on some of their hubs also.
