DT Swiss RWS Plug-In thru axle for 12x142mm hubs has a removable lever for a low profile look and added security. The thru axle can be removed with the included lever or a 6mm hex wrench for on the trail tire changes.
When selecting a replacement axle for your frame you will need to know the overall length of the axle and the thread pitch. DT Swiss makes RWS axles in 12x1.0mm, 12x1.5mm and 12x1.75mm threading. Using the wrong thread pitch could damage the axle, frame or both.
