Degrees of Freedom Upgrade Kit w/Tool, Ratchet/LN

The DT Swiss Ratchet DF 54T Upgrade Kit adds adjustable Degrees of Freedom to compatible DT Swiss Ratchet and Ratchet LN rear hubs. Instead of having the drivetrain directly influence suspension movement as the rear wheel moves through its travel, the DF system allows a small amount of freehub rotation before the drivetrain loads the suspension. That can reduce pedal kickback and let the rear suspension move more freely over rough terrain.
