This version of the DT Swiss 350 hub is not designed to work with Shimano 11-speed road cassettes. For the 11-speed road models, DT Swiss laser etches "11-speed road" in big letters making them easily identifiable against the mountain bike version.
Currently, it looks like the only way to get a 135mm hub with a road cassette body would be to buy the 142mm hub and DT Swiss q/r end caps.

Yes the DT Swiss 350 rear hub can be converted, DT Swiss has a compatibility chart that lists all the possible combinations the 350 rear hub can be adapted to.
