Chris King was among the first component manufacturers to create a threadless headset. They are seen on bicycles across the world and with good reason. In 1976 Chris King created his original design for the headset which served as the framework in order to transform the concept of threadless into one of the most prevalent pieces in the realm of cycling. Comfortably at home on mountain bikes, cyclocross bikes, road bikes and most anything else on two wheels, Chris King Headsets have been ridden to titles in nearly discipline of cycling.Twice a year our friend's in Portland, Oregon run a limited amount Titanium NoThreadsets and GripNuts. These titanium headsets are not as light as their aluminum cousins they are slightly stronger and of course slightly more expensive. As King puts it best, "it is the gift for the bike that has everything." Each one of the King Ti Headsets feature a unique "KingTi" laser marking on just the upper cup. The Lower cups are unmarked for a unique and clean look.
The Titanium NoThreadSet includes a titanium stemcap, stainless steel bolt and custom steel star nut. Each of these headsets include titanium baseplates.
