Cane Creek Hellbender 70 Viscoset Upper in EC34 Mid Tune adds controlled, maintenance-free steering damping at the headset to help manage the uncontrolled steering oscillation commonly called speed wobble. Built as an encapsulated cartridge, it uses interleaved micro-thin plates separated by a fluorocarbon gel to create smooth, consistent viscous resistance as the fork rotates—calming small steering disturbances before they build into bigger bar shake. Ideal for the higher loads and higher speeds seen on modern e-bikes, loaded bikepacking and gravel builds, and as an added layer of stability for kids’ bikes.
