asked by: a guest Will this work for s 2020 Nordest Britango 2?
A.
anwered by: mhutch According to Nordest' website, the Britango has a 44mm headtube, so this is not the correct headset. This headset is for 34mm headtubes.

asked by: a guest Would this work with a 2008 karate monkey?
A.
anwered by: mhutch I can't find any information on the headtube size of the 2008 Karate monkey, as the 2008 Surly catalog only reads 1 1/8" Threadless. It would be best to have a shop measure your headtube to find the right headset.

asked by: a guest Will this fit on 2014 Lynskey R255
A.
anwered by: canteau This is the headset that Cane Creek lists for the 2014 Lynskey R255, it's not a bad idea to measure the headtube to double check that it does in fact use a 34mm headset.

A.
anwered by: canteau Based on the information we have the Cane Creek 40 EC34 should fit your Trek Fuel EX 5.5. Before ordering it's not a bad idea to remove your headset cups and measure the frame to be sure. It should measure 34mm

Treefort is awesome to offer their price-match on their products, and it keeps me coming back to their website. The Cane Creek 40 is Cane Creek's "mid-level" offering and it doesn't disappoint. While I had to buy a second crown race for my build after marring the blue rubber seal at the bottom of the headset during installation, I have no regrets. By the way, Cane Creek's 10 Headset Series, their cheaper offerings have a split piece of plastic as a crown race that is extremely easy to install. But it doesn't keep out dirt like the 40 Series with its aluminum rubber seal crown race. I used home-made tools for the build as the cheapest offerings on a crown race setter are expensive--as are the other tools to get the whole headset installed. Especially if you only use it once or twice! If you're following down the same road as I did for a build, check out the many YouTube videos for a while on installing a Headset.
Summed up: A worthy mid-price item. Super-Cool lizard (Salamander?) logo. Let YouTube become your friend for a self-install. If you
Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

Bought this to replace the stock aheadset which was in my stumpy. That one lasted 3 years - 3000 miles (?) and only failed because I dented the upper cup somehow.
I don't see the point in spending a ton of money on a headset when even the cheapest one (aheadset) will do just fine.
I got this middle of the road one because the price was only a bit over the entry level one. I am sure it will last me forever as long as I don't dent the cup again...
The only downside: The top cap included with this headset was too small to actually cover my stem (using a spesh stem with that adjustable angle bushing in it). Cane Creek told me just to re-use the one from the stock headset which I did.
