Q.
asked by: a guest
would this work for hub bearings and bottom bracket bearings?
A.
anwered by: canteau
Slick Honey would not be my first choice for hubs and bottom bracket bearings. As the name suggests, it has a sticky honey-like texture that is great for sticking to o-rings and bushings, but can add resistance to hub and bottom bracket bearings. Greases such as Phil Wood Waterproof grease or Park Tool Poly Lube are better options for headset, hub, and bottom bracket bearings.

Would this be good for oiling freewheels inwards?
A.
anwered by: canteau
We like to use something thinner, like Phil Wood Tenacious Oil, on freewheels that have been exposed to wet weather.

That would be one application that this product would excel at.

MrPrettyThere is enough in this tub to last you a very long time. I always use this stuff for suspension rebuilds and it has been treating me well so far.
I use Rock N' Roll on pretty much everything else.

millermottoThis is my go to lube for suspension overhauls, o-rings and cables. I have used it for hubs but prefer something a bit heavier like Phil Wood. This stuff is great and a must have for every garage.
