anwered by: a guest Obenauf's LP (Leather Preservative) will work great to defend the leather from UV and elements. I've use this product on my Brooks saddle for years with great results. You'll still want to clean it occasionally with a tiny bit of water and mild soap if necessary.

This bag is small. In spite of looking over the specs carefully, I was surprised by its small size. That said, it works for what I wanted. It holds a 700c tube, a set of chunky Park tire tools, a Brooks saddle cover and a minimalist patch kit. With that gear on board, it looks pretty plump. Without the saddle cover, I can squeeze in keys and the bag closes completely.
If you want a day bag, look elsewhere. If you want basic emergency tools carried in Brooks style, this is the bag.
