dmv22lpdIn the vast array of rear racks available today, I preferred the Axiom when selecting three (3) rear racks for a few bike packing trips we had planned. All three were going on disc brake bikes, one MTB, two gravel. Even though two of the three were 27.5 wheels, I chose the 29" and experienced no disadvantage.
I prefer the dual aluminum stays for rigidity and eliminating the rack from rocking when weighted down with heavy panniers, rather than the single flat steel stay. I utilized the Problem Solvers seat post clamp with rack mounts to elevate and level the Axiom rear rack.
The Axiom rack fit each frame perfectly and without issue. We remained on gravel and two track, so they weren't tested in an abusive off-road scenario so I cannot speak to durability in that environment. The panniers remained stable and secure throughout our journeys.
I anticipate many years of trouble free use from these racks.
