Axiom Lasalles are some of the more popular panniers we sell around here. They are equally suited for front or rear use, and just water resistant enough for a light spray or quick light rain. However, if it gets torrential they come with rain cover.
These babys have more pouches and storage than a pack of kangaroos. Four easy outside pockets make for easy access while shock cord cinches on the top allow even the greatest caches to be wrenched onto the load. On the inside they use high grade fabric for low off-gassing characteristics that exceed even European standards. No smelly plastic junk inside these guys!
You can really tell Axiom is made for the serious commuter or touring enthusiast by simple details like the reflective piping and the extra included hardware. On top of that, they can take the abuse of a bumpy trip with their Posi-Lock mounting system and their replaceable alloy mounting hooks.

kaf01I recently purchased these bags for my first bike camping trip which was for 3 days. I went with a large group of people and got to see several different panniers types and have to say these are a great design/value for the money. Since these bags are designed for front or rear they are somewhat narrow compared to other rear pannier designs so most of the bulk is out away from the bike which was great for wheel/pedaling clearance. The bags are well made with a thick, nicely stitched material. I had no problem packing for 3 days with these bags and the pockets on the outside are a big plus for handy items. I can honestly say these bags were as nice if not nicer than bags that were ALOT more money.

jam...@gm...l.comI use these bags mostly for commuting, shopping, and a few day rides. I usually have just one on my bike and it always has plenty of room for me to get a few groceries on the way home from work. If I need to make a bigger trip to the grocery store, I'll bring both bags. With both bags, I can easily hold two grocery bags worth of goods. Each bag can also be used to hold a six-pack of beer bottles, plus other goods. The three small pockets are great for the little things that you want in your bag all the time.
The bags are moderately waterproof on their own. I've been caught in the rain without the rain covers and had no problems with anything getting wet inside the bag. I've used the rain covers on especially rainy days and they worked quite well. I considered some of the more expensive "totally waterproof" bags, but they are much more expensive and don't have as many additional pockets. I have not taken these bags on a long trip, so I can not evaluate their waterproof qualities for longer than 1 hour of rain.
This is the second pair of Lasalles that I've had. The first pair developed a tear after being pulled over the bottom mount of my rack. Luckily, they were covered by a lifetime warranty. I may have been at least partially to blame for mounting the bags too quickly and tearing them. A different pannier rack would have made a difference as well. I've had this new pair for over a month with no problems. I applied a little duct tape to the area that rubs on the bottom of the rack to prevent tears in the future.

lindenfaceA great value for durable, good-sized panniers. I got them recently for a week long tour, and they worked great. they are easy to mount and durable, with plenty of room, and the rain covers work well. I'm looking forward to using them for day trips as well. also, I was concerned about shipping time, but they shipped immediately and arrived earlier than expected, which was wonderful. Thanks, Tree Fort Bikes!

kundipFantastic bags for the price. I use mine on a daily basis for commuting and they have plenty of space for my work clothes and laptop bag. I haven't tested them in a full rainstorm yet, but even without the provided rain shield, they kept my stuff dry.

Kokonee2009I'm enjoying these packs so far. There are lots of pockets and storage areas. The bungees on the top of the bags are great for my jacket and quick access. The rear web pockets are also great for quick access while riding. They're holding up well with 12#s of weight in each while I'm training for a 10 day tour. I like the look and I like how many reflective bands they have for visibility.
I'm glad I made this purchase.

eboothThese bags are a great deal for the price, but they hang too close to the wheels (be sure to get a larger rack) and the locking mechanism (in between the hooks) doesn't work very well. I have to use an extra bungee cord to keep the bag from flying off if I go over a large bump or curb.

A GuestI had the older style LaSalle panniers and decided to go with them again, so that I'd have a set of 4.
But the real reason was that the newer LaSalle have an attachment for straps and actually come with one strap for the two. I needed this for commuting and discovered that I can fit everything I need for commuting -- lunch, breakfast, clothing, rain cape and some tools -- in just one pannier.

JohnA42So far I've only used them for short errands and shopping, but I really like these panniers. I like that the attachment system is flexible enough that it will work on any rack. This pair is replacing a set that aren't so flexible -- I couldn't mount them on my new rack.
They're plenty roomy and seem to be quite sturdy. I can see where they might be too close to the wheels for some, but I think that's a solvable problem.
The locking mechanism can be a little tricky to operate. I would guess that depends on your rack. I can manage, but it takes a little maneuvering.

devansRecently puchased these to go on my 29er commuting bike. Using with disk brakes and OMM sherpa rack and have no issues with clearance or overlap. Size is just right for my needs-large enough to carry lunch, work clothes, and extra gear with more room in case I need to stop by the store on the way home. Yet these don't seem too big or heavy on my bike. Looks and quality are top notch especially for the discounted price from Tree Fort. Haven't yet had a chance to test out waterproof covers in a downpour but the yellow color is great for extra visiblity.

seamansericThese panniers work great. They easily carry everything I need to go bike packing for quite a few days. These will work great for the C&O Towpath and the Great Allegheny Passage that I'll be riding in August.
I was able to pack all my camping gear and still have room to spare.
Note, I'm using a hammock (to save weight and space. And it's just fun..) instead of a tent and I strapped my sleeping bag and inflatable thermarest pad (which I may not bring) to the top of my Topeak Explorer Disc rack with a bungie net. These are bigger items and will fill a great portion of the panniers.
For rides such as the Great Divide (additional racks and bags would probably be necessary) and the C&O towpath, this pannier system will work great.
However, for single track bike camping you'll need to go lighter than any pannier system can offer. But again, that's not what these panniers are intended to be used for.
