TrackieI bought the seatpost after i bought a stem for my track bike and i love the black finish on all of Thomson's products. The finish does not wear off even after adjusting many times. Its very strong. There is a problem after a while you may want to buy more thomson things to match like stem, stem cap and clamp.

A GuestI'm using this to replace a Look Ergo2 post on my Look KG 381 because the "binding" mechanism for the seatpost pushes the post against the far side of the seat tube, ultimately crushing the carbon seatpost. It's light and looks good, though I had to shorten it a bit.

tatatoothyThe Thomson seatpost is typical of their products: perfect. The construction and finish are flawless, and this is one of the few lightweight products that has stood the test of time to become a true modern classic. It's very light, strong, and looks amazing.
I won't ding the Thomson post for lack of colors (mostly because I lived through the early '90s and saw entirely too many beautiful bikes spoiled with purple ano parts), but I will say that I find the Thomson setback post hideous. I'm a form-follows-function guy, but the Thomson setback unit looks like the victim of someone driving into the garage and forgetting their bike is on a Yakima roof rack. Thumbs-down, and if I needed setback I'd look elsewhere.

A GuestThe Thomson Elite seatpost is the gold standard when it comes to seatposts. Machined from a solid block of billet aluminum this seatpost is made to last and looks good doing it.
The 2 bolt system does make it easy to adjust the seat angle but can be a little tricky to use the first time.
Thomson seatpost come in a straight 0 setback and a bent 25mm setback. Keep this in mind. Some people buy the straght post when they really need the seatback but their old post had the seatback integrated into the seat clamp. I needed to move forward on the bike so the straight post worked out great.

vkoo87No creaking and extremely stiff. The post is slightly ribbed and actually circular on the outside and slightly oval in the inside for rigidity and weight savings! very very cool stuff. I do wish the post was a little longer. The max line creeps up on you when setting it up for the first time. Also the Thomson logo that sits under the saddle indicates the forward direction. It would have been really cool if it was rear facing kind of like a license plate.

gol...@gm...l.comGreat seatpost especially for a big guy like me (5'11" - 205 lbs). Feels solid in the flats and light and out of the way on climbs and downhills!
