all about the

RockShox Monarch RL Rear Shock

The Rock Shox Monarch's lightweight design not only delivers silky smooth travel, but thanks to a redesigned Solo Air spring with updated damping controls, it also delivers a spring rate you'd generally only get from a much heavier coil shock. So you get a durable, fully adjustable shock capable of smoothing out the most aggressive trails, while simultaneously saving you weight for epic cross country riding. The Rock Shox Monarch RL features external rebound and 2-Position compression adjustment (Open/Pedal).
  • Intended Use: XC, Trail
  • RL shocks feature external rebound and 2-Position compression adjustment (Open, Pedal), Solo Air lets you add air to your shock through a single Schrader valve, filling both the positive and negative air spring chambers simultaneously. This gives you a plush, predictable ride you can set up in seconds, with the lightest weight air spring on the market
  • Rapid Recovery allows the shock to recovery faster between consecutive bumps, letting the wheel track the ground with greater precision
  • Fast Black hard anodized, forged aluminum body with sag gradients 9mm 7075 aluminum shaft
  • Mount hardware sold separately (2 sets required per shock)
questions about the

RockShox Monarch RL Rear Shock

asked by: A Visitor
I have an older gtxcr 3000, to replace the old Sid rock shock shock. Will this fit my bike
answered by: canteau
It depends, if GT uses standard shock mounting hardware, you will just need to match up the eye to eye length and the stroke of the shock. These measurements need to be exact in order for the bike and shock to work properly.
asked by: A Visitor
Will this shock fit a 2011 stumpjumper rear shock mount?
answered by: canteau
It looks like Specialized might use a Specialized specific rear shock yoke. Without sourcing an aftermarket adaptor kit to fit a standard shock to a Specialized frame, it looks like you might need to get a replacement shock from a Specialized dealer.
asked by: A Visitor
if the rock shock is not the correct length
can I return it for a refund?
answered by: mwirth
Sure! You have 30 days from the date of the delivery to call us and process a return. Thanks!
asked by: A Visitor
My shock is 7.5 x 1.75
Can I use 7.5x2?
answered by: canteau
You would need to match there eye to eye length for proper operation.

Compressing the shock you could get it to fit into the frame, but the travel would be limited because the shock would already be compressed.
asked by: A Visitor
my shock says it is a 165x38 what size is it 6.5"x1.5"?
answered by: canteau
Yes 165x38mm is the metric size equivalent to 6.5x1.5"
