The Fox Spring-Side Lower Leg Tool along with a mallet is required to dislodge the damper side shaft from the lower fork leg assembly when servicing a Fox Fork. When using the Spring-Side tool make sure that at least half of the available threads engaged in the tool before striking with a mallet. You will also need the Fox Damper-Side Tool to completely remove the lowers, it can be found here.
