You can use the Surly ExtraTerrestrial Tire with or without tubes. Depending on your rim with tubes these can be used up to 65psi, however most people will run them in the 30's.

I've had these tires for a few months now and they're awesome. Plenty of 25 plus Mile rides threw dirt, road, Mnt bike trails, sand, everything. I've had no problems with them on my 1980's steel Japanese build. I was unsure at first if I could fit 2.5's since it's an older bike but they work perfect with a lot of clearance surprisingly. Get these tires, you won't be disappointed. To check out my build on instagram search broke_bike _broker.
