Surly's exalted Karate Monkey will never die--only rise again, radder and stronger. Surly took what was already a nimble, versatile, and dependable 29er trail bike and reincarnated it with some cool new frame updates. The biggest features are a future-proof 44mm head tube and their own Modular Dropout System (MDS) to give you the choice between rear-facing SS horizontal, 10mm QR Geared, or a 12 x 142 thru-axle (axle included). The "Spray Tan" color is one of the best we''ve ever seen--it''s a translucent powder coat that lets you see right down to the Metal Soul of the frame. For those who prefer a "Ninjitsu" Monkey, the frameset is still available with an in-cog-neato black powder coat. As always, "Fatties Fit Fine," meaning there''s lots of room for your knobbiest rubber.
