The Racing Ralph HS425 is the newest Racing Ralph from Schwalbe. "An out and out competition tire", durability and puncture protection are not high. Speed is pretty much the only thing here--and with the HS425,Schwalbe has really taken it to the next level: 30g lighter and 20% less rolling resistance over the previous HS391s.

I've only used this tire on the front of my bike so far (I have one for the rear waiting for my new rear wheel), but I have to say I like almost everything about it. Almost.
Good grip, good cornering, feels great, good volume, sidewalls have held up so far (and we have extremely rocky trails here in NM), quite fast and pretty light (though not MAXXIS Ikon light).
The only issue I've noticed is that the nobs are already starting to look pretty embattled, even though I've only been on about 10 rides with it (avg. ride is 12-15 miles). I'd be happy if a set lasted me a season, but I don't think that will be the case.
Summed up: Racing Ralph good: everything but... Racing Ralph bad: questionable durability
Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.
