cauteryI've been a loyal Selle Italia saddle user for eleven years. I bought the SLR Tekno Flow because it's very light, carbon, and has a slight pad that assists more with staying put on the saddle than it does padding. I also chose it because it has the long narrow "nose" which stays out of the way, but is still there for light or out of the saddle steering. It also has a perfect (for me) spread for sit bone contact. Additionally, I REALLY love the larger opening down the middle... There is only ONE weakness, and I hope it was a "one-time" deal. The shell cracked on both sides just forward of the rail doubler in less than 2 weeks and leas than 60 miles. I have sent the saddle to ProNet for warranty replacement. This saddle would have a 5 if it weren't for this problem. If it is replaced and doesn't repeat the problem, I would/will update it to 5 stars.
IF you like to sit on a "couch" when you ride, then this ain't your saddle. This is a minimalist racing saddle for someone who doesn't need padding on the saddle, and who primarily uses the saddle as a perch and a steering device.
