themadhatter106I love using the Topeak bags with their racks but I have since moved on because I carry a lot of weight. I've bent three of these racks. I was only carrying 30-40 pounds each time. They all bent at the same place, on the tube that is screwed down into the eyelet. Right near the eyelet they bent and as a result the rack lowered and started rubbing on my rear tire making it very difficult to go anywhere. It doesn't happen right away but after months of riding with the same load gradually the aluminum bends. I eventually gave up my Topeak bag/rack and moved on to a Surly rack. I haven't had any problems since and the Surly rack seems much stronger and stiffer than the Topeak racks I've owned. If you're going to carry a lot of weight such as when touring I don't recommend this rack at all. Get a real rack, either Surly, Tubus or Old Man Mountain.

jmundtI have had this rack on my commuter bike for 6 months. It seems to be on par with other aluminum racks, what sets it apart is the overal Topeak system of sliding trunk bags that just slide and lock onto the rack for easy on/easy off. Highly recommend the Topeak DX/EX trunk backs, especially the one with built in panniers, very convenient.

A GuestI've had a Topeak Explorer rack for several years and really like it, but I wanted the option to use panniers, so bought this rack. It's a nice rack, not much else to say about it.

BostojFitted to my Tricross commuter (has lugs for a rack - most mid to high end road bikes will not have these). Very easy to fit, didn't need instructions. Works great with MTX trunk bag with plenty of heal clearance to panniers.
Has built in mount for a standard reflector. My Cateye bolted straight on, but adapters were included for Topeak lights and also worked with my Blinky.
Built in fender will prevent worst of the road spray, though I'll probably still fit full fenders for the winter.
Looks very sturdy and well made but not too heavy.
